Our just after-college students at Tam Large are building a Town of the Potential together, applying arts and electronics to make a product of what our earth may well be like in 100 yrs.
In our next course, they designed the town they imagine for this task and took turns talking about their suggestions with each other. In their write-up-apocalyptic circumstance, the wealthy are separated from the very poor, who mine the sea floor and are oppressed by a govt run by machines.
They also picked characters and objects for their city — some of which will be laser slash and printed in 3D. Future, they figured out to solder adhere figures out of copper wire, then designed light circuits with LEDs and batteries. Eventually, they additional these lights to their futuristic residences, which they continued to beautify with present wrapping paper, artwork supplies and each day objects.
We have a great team of 8 middle university college students, ages 12 to 14, in this soon after-school class. As a result of this class, students will produce a range of techniques, from innovative expression to science and engineering (STEAM). And they will understand to make their individual interactive art with uncomplicated electronics, in a playful way that can make learning much more entertaining.
