This is a chess board I made for my father for a Christmas existing. The wood is unquestionably lovely. It is manufactured from alternating parts of figured black walnut (Juglans nigra) and Fiddleback Maple (Acer saccharum) which are trimmed in a darkish, black ebony (Diospyros dendro). The fram is created of South American Bloodwood (Brosimum Rubescens). The base is bloodwood and fiddleback maple joined working with a as a result of dovetail.
This is my second woodworking task, and it took me possibly 50 hrs of do the job to do.
I appreciate how it turned out, and believe the wooden is amazingly wonderful.
