Charming Entryway to a Delightful Small Church

Lovely entrance to a lovely little Church

St Rumon’s Church is a small and historic church located in Ruan Minor, Cornwall. Dating back to the 14th century, the church was restored in 1854 and is one of the smallest churches in West Cornwall. Despite the current church being records dating from 1277, there was an ancient chapel in Ruan Minor.

The Churches Project is a personal project started by a photographer in Cornwall in April 2015. After visiting Zennor Church and realizing Cornwall’s churches and churchyards held far more photographic interest, the project was established to focus on black and white photography of Cornwall’s granite landscapes and the grit and beauty of churches both inside and outside.

The Cornish Historic Churches Trust is an organization dedicated to the preservation and maintenance of Cornwall’s historic churches for future generations. It serves as a great resource for information and support of these beautiful churches.

All photography and equipment for The Churches Project is sponsored by www.inlinefilters.co.uk. The photographer’s portfolio website and blog can be found at www.piktour.uk, which is Cornish for picture by a photographer in Cornwall.

While the photographer takes photographs purely as a hobby and is happy to share them with anyone who may benefit from them, an accreditation is requested if they are used and a donation to www.sightsavers.org is welcomed if the images are used for financial gain. In the future, a fine art prints and downloads section will be created on Piktour. A current selection of available images can be found on their website.
