Charles I, a Martyr King, in Tunbridge Wells, Kent

King Charles the Martyr, Tunbridge Wells, Kent

The equinox has recently occurred, marking the time in which light begins to triumph over darkness, and signaling the end of the year. The narrator is on vacation and enjoying a break from their job, but their friend Jools still has half a day of work to complete before joining their colleagues for a celebratory lunch in Folkestone. After dropping Jools off, the narrator embarks on a church-crawling adventure to various locations in the western part of Kent. They visit several churches, including Penshurst, Speldhurst, Groombridge, and Tunbridge Wells, taking photographs and enjoying the beauty of the architecture and decor. After stopping for lunch and scrolling through Twitter, the narrator picks Jools up from their lunch and heads back home.
