I am functioning with builder Geo Monley on new maker classes — and he is also coaching me on my woodworking assignments in his state-of-the-artwork woodshop at Tam Large Faculty in Mill Valley.
Geo opened the woodshop for us all through spring break, and helped me make a ‘mortise and tenon’ joint for the cell cart I am making in his ‘You Can Make It’ workshop. We will use this cart to showcase the Metropolis of the Long run that our center faculty college students are constructing collectively in our ‘maker art’ classes.
Jointly, we are creating a new program named Tam Makers, to offer a general public makerspace and maker courses — and grow a neighborhood of makers, pupils and instructors in South Marin.
