Box and Candle
I was screening out my new Fuji X100T to see how it performs as a tabletop studio digicam.
My topics are a Xmas vacation themed votive candle holder and just one of my woodworking jobs. The box I created out of maple and african mahogany. I am incredibly delighted with how the contrasting wooden highlights the dovetails.
Strobist information and facts:
The ambient light-weight is composed of the flame of the candle and a tabletop lamp outdoors of the body to the left of the box. I selected the aperture and shutter speed manually to give me a satisfying exposure for the candle flame and the left side of the box.
I then put a a Lumopro LP160 flash with a Lastolite Micro Apollo MkII softbox to the correct of the digicam and altered the flash ability to stability the shadowed aspect of the box and the candle.
