An additional segment of the Billiard / Sitting Area at the George Eastman House. Shown is one of his leather-based couches with an a leopard pores and skin draped across the top rated. The woodwork of the Billiard Room is teak. This home was in simple fact a Billiard Place for only a shorter time, for Mr. Eastman moved his billiard desk upstairs to a 2nd-flooring bedroom in 1908, generating this area into an informal sitting down place with much of the very same furnishings. For his remaining 24 years below it was a peaceful retreat in which he could examine his newspapers and journals and in the 1920s, pay attention to his radio. The determination was created to restore it as the earlier Billiard Home to demonstrate his casual and recreational side. The painted glass roundels in the home windows stand for a variety of modes of transportation, as indicated by Eastman’s correspondence these in the bay had been duplicated from documentary photos, and the other folks, for which no documentation exists, stick to the concept. Situated at the George Eastman Home and Gardens, 900 East Ave in Rochester, NY.
