We are developing an Artwork Float for Social Modify at Tam Makers, to inspire far more individuals to participate in democracy. Our parade float will attain out to youth and persons of shade by means of artwork, music and engineering. We will existing this artwork demonstrate on Earth Working day, Memorial Working day and Fourth of July parades in Marin — and all over California this fall, to encourage people to vote in the future election.
This exceptional artwork float celebrates mom earth with a carousel of waving arms, pulled by a huge feathered serpent. Performers will tell stories of hope on a phase adorned with scenes of a greater world. Large indications will invite persons to communicate up and vote! You can pitch suggestions for social modify on the podium, or have them scroll on the information ticker.
This group artwork challenge is designed by a developing team of 60+ students and makers, led by Fabrice Florin and Geo Monley, co-founders of Tam Makers in Mill Valley. We are grateful to Tam High College for hosting this task and to all our wonderful volunteers and art, civic and educational companions, for aiding make this float and present it to a diverse neighborhood.
