We are building an Art Float for Social Modify at Tam Makers, to encourage additional persons to take part in democracy. Our parade float will reach out to youth and folks of color through artwork, audio and technological know-how. We will present this artwork clearly show on Earth Working day, Memorial Working day and Fourth of July parades in Marin — and during California this tumble, to stimulate folks to vote in the following election.
This exclusive art float celebrates mother earth with a carousel of waving hands, pulled by a huge feathered serpent. Performers will convey to stories of hope on a stage embellished with scenes of a greater environment. Substantial signals will invite men and women to talk up and vote! You can pitch suggestions for social transform on the podium, or have them scroll on the news ticker.
This community art job is made by a rising workforce of 60+ college students and makers, led by Fabrice Florin and Geo Monley, co-founders of Tam Makers in Mill Valley. We are grateful to Tam Superior Faculty for web hosting this project and to all our superb volunteers and artwork, civic and academic partners, for encouraging produce this float and present it to a diverse local community.
