We are generating an Artwork Float for Social Modify at Tam Makers, to encourage more people today to participate in democracy. Our parade float will get to out to youth and individuals of shade via artwork, new music and engineering. We will present this art show on Earth Working day, Memorial Day and Fourth of July parades in Marin — and all over California this tumble, to persuade folks to vote in the subsequent election.
This unique art float celebrates mother earth with a carousel of waving fingers, pulled by a big feathered serpent. Performers will inform tales of hope on a phase adorned with scenes of a superior entire world. Massive signals will invite men and women to converse up and vote! You can pitch thoughts for social modify on the podium, or have them scroll on the news ticker.
This group art challenge is designed by a developing staff of 60+ students and makers, led by Fabrice Florin and Geo Monley, co-founders of Tam Makers in Mill Valley. We are grateful to Tam Significant University for hosting this venture and to all our superb volunteers and artwork, civic and educational partners, for encouraging build this float and present it to a varied neighborhood.
We are making this venture from February to April 2018, on Thursday evenings from 4 to 9pm — or Saturday mornings from 10am to 1pm. If you would like to volunteer, remember to email us at float@tammakers.org.
