We are making an Artwork Float for Social Improve at Tam Makers, to inspire more people to take part in democracy. Our parade float will achieve out to youth and individuals of coloration by way of art, tunes and technologies. We will current this artwork clearly show on Earth Day, Memorial Day and Fourth of July parades in Marin — and all through California this fall, to persuade people to vote in the following election.
This unique artwork float celebrates mom earth with a carousel of waving palms, pulled by a huge feathered serpent. Performers will notify tales of hope on a phase embellished with scenes of a far better earth. Big signals will invite people to communicate up and vote! You can pitch strategies for social transform on the podium, or have them scroll on the news ticker.
This local community artwork venture is designed by a expanding crew of 60+ pupils and makers, led by Fabrice Florin and Geo Monley, co-founders of Tam Makers in Mill Valley. We are grateful to Tam Significant University for internet hosting this undertaking and to all our amazing volunteers and art, civic and instructional companions, for supporting develop this float and present it to a varied community.
