“SCOTTSBLUFF – William A. ‘Bill’ Collopy, 78, of Scottsbluff died Friday, Jan. 27, 2006, at Regional West Professional medical Center comforted by his spouse, Kay.
A memorial assistance was held Jan. 31 at the Initial Church of God in Scottsbluff with the Rev. Curtis Germany officiating. Abiding by Bill’s needs, cremation has taken put at the Jolliffe Funeral Residence in Scottsbluff…
…Bill was born Dec. 10, 1927, in Scottsbluff, to Francis John and Maude Rutz (Amalia) Collopy. He received his training in the Scottsbluff Public Faculty System graduating from Scottsbluff Large School, and ongoing at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, as very well as attending the Scottsbluff Junior College or university in Scottsbluff.
Monthly bill enlisted in the U. S. Military Air Corps on Dec. 18, 1945, and was honorably discharged in July of 1947, soon after achieving the rank of corporal.
Bill married Regina Kayleen “Kay” Germany on Aug. 13, 1950, in Scottsbluff. Invoice put in his performing yrs in Kansas, California, and Texas as a specialized illustrator for Boeing, Convair, and Lockheed.
Pursuing retirement in 1992, Monthly bill returned to Scottsbluff, the boyhood residence he liked so substantially. Bill relished his retirement yrs regionally as an activities bus driver for the Scottsbluff Community Faculty Program, as nicely as Western Nebraska Community School and especially experiencing his latest several years at Twin Cities Baseball. Invoice savored woodworking and investing time with household.
Invoice is survived by his spouse: Regina Kayleen “Kay” Collopy of Scottsbluff son: Brad Collopy and his spouse Aggie in Gering daughters: Brenda Momper of Alliance and Berni Holmes and her partner Rodney of Aurora, Colo. 10 grandchildren 4 excellent-grandchildren uncle: John Rutz and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
His mom and dad: Frank and Maude and brother: Frank Jr., preceded Invoice in death.”
