“SCOTTSBLUFF – William A. ‘Bill’ Collopy, 78, of Scottsbluff died Friday, Jan. 27, 2006, at Regional West Medical Middle comforted by his wife, Kay.

A memorial service was held Jan. 31 at the Initial Church of God in Scottsbluff with the Rev. Curtis Germany officiating. Abiding by Bill’s needs, cremation has taken spot at the Jolliffe Funeral House in Scottsbluff…

…Bill was born Dec. 10, 1927, in Scottsbluff, to Francis John and Maude Rutz (Amalia) Collopy. He received his training in the Scottsbluff Public University Technique graduating from Scottsbluff Superior University, and continued at the College of Nebraska in Lincoln, as perfectly as attending the Scottsbluff Junior Faculty in Scottsbluff.

Bill enlisted in the U. S. Military Air Corps on Dec. 18, 1945, and was honorably discharged in July of 1947, immediately after achieving the rank of corporal.

Monthly bill married Regina Kayleen “Kay” Germany on Aug. 13, 1950, in Scottsbluff. Bill expended his functioning yrs in Kansas, California, and Texas as a specialized illustrator for Boeing, Convair, and Lockheed.

Pursuing retirement in 1992, Bill returned to Scottsbluff, the boyhood residence he liked so substantially. Bill loved his retirement decades locally as an things to do bus driver for the Scottsbluff General public College Procedure, as well as Western Nebraska Local community College and particularly taking pleasure in his current a long time at Twin Towns Baseball. Bill liked woodworking and shelling out time with family members.
