Sumptuous Woodwork inside this Lovely Church

St Corentine’s Church is located in the village of Cury, Cornwall, UK. Dating back to the 11th/12th century Norman period, the church has a North Aisle added in the 15th century, giving it the classic compact and low profile of a Norman Church. The Church of St Corentine is part of “The Churches Project” started in April 2015 by a local photographer who wanted to capture the black and white photographs of Cornwall’s granite landscapes. However, it was during a visit to Zennor Church that he discovered Cornwall’s churches and churchyards held far more photographic interest for him.

Cornish Historic Churches Trust is an organization that takes great care of the beautiful churches of Cornwall for future generations. Their website is available for anyone who wishes to support their cause. Inline Filters, UK’s leading Filter Specialists for the heavy-duty automotive industry sponsors all photography and equipment used for this project. The photographer behind the project uses the portfolio website and blog called “Piktour,” which means picture in Cornish language.

All photography taken under this project is solely for hobby purposes, and the photographer is happy to share them with anyone who has a use for them. Proper accreditation is appreciated if the photographs are used, and if anyone benefits from them, he would like to know. The beautiful St Corentine’s Church is impressive to capture many awe-inspiring, gritty and imposing images in black and white, making it a beautiful place to take photographs.
