King Charles the Martyr, Tunbridge Wells, Kent

The equinox occurred at 21:47 GMT which marked the beginning of a period where light would win over darkness. Meanwhile, Jools had a half-day left at work before being treated to a fancy lunch and drinks with coworkers. The author dropped her off and headed to Kent for a mini-church crawl. They visited various churches in the extreme west of the county, including Penshurst Place and Groombridge. The author visited Tunbridge Wells to photograph the ceiling and other details of the church they last visited over a decade ago. The author was able to show kindness to a young man selling the Big Issue by keeping their promise and giving him a fiver. The author then picked up Jools after her meal and had some time to kill at Stop 24 services before driving back home.
