Ian finds himself on a work trip to Warrington for an audit. He has to wake up early and pack before heading out as he will be one of the people being audited. Jools drops him off for a walk before he picks up his rental car. The car is small and struggles to get up the road. Ian uses his phone for navigation and begins his journey with a visit to a former colleague in St. Helens. He then visits a church that was once the burial ground for the House of York, and later sees another church in Titchmarsh.
He heads back out on the road and begins to notice snow falling as he drives. He experiences a delay due to a crash and makes it to his friend’s home in Warrington just as it starts to snow heavily. He receives a call telling him to hurry to the hotel before the snow gets worse. The final six miles are treacherous, but he makes it safely to the golf resort where he will be staying.
Overall, Ian’s trip is full of interesting pit-stops and historical landmarks. Despite the treacherous weather, he manages to arrive safely at his destination.
