We are producing an Artwork Float for Social Improve at Tam Makers, to encourage extra men and women to participate in democracy. Our parade float will attain out to youth and men and women of coloration via art, songs and technology. We will present this artwork demonstrate on Earth Working day, Memorial Day and Fourth of July parades in Marin — and through California this fall, to motivate persons to vote in the future election.
Our special artwork float celebrates mom earth with a carousel of waving arms, pulled by a huge feathered serpent. Performers will notify tales of hope on a phase embellished with scenes of a greater environment. Big indicators will invite folks to converse up and vote! You can pitch tips for social change on the podium, or have them scroll on the information ticker.
This neighborhood artwork venture is created by a staff of pupils and makers, led by Fabrice Florin and Geo Monley, co-founders of Tam Makers in Mill Valley. We are grateful to Tam Substantial School for hosting this project and to all our superb volunteers and art, civic and educational partners, for helping generate this float and present it to a varied local community.
