We are generating an Artwork Float for Social Alter at Tam Makers, to encourage much more people today to take part in democracy. Our parade float will reach out to youth and people of coloration by way of art, tunes and know-how. We will existing this art show on Earth Working day, Memorial Working day and Fourth of July parades in Marin — and all over California this tumble, to motivate people to vote in the future election.
Our unique artwork float celebrates mother earth with a carousel of waving palms, pulled by a big feathered serpent. Performers will notify stories of hope on a phase adorned with scenes of a improved earth. Massive signs will invite people today to talk up and vote! You can pitch thoughts for social alter on the podium, or have them scroll on the news ticker.
This group artwork job is made by a staff of learners and makers, led by Fabrice Florin and Geo Monley, co-founders of Tam Makers in Mill Valley. We are grateful to Tam High University for internet hosting this task and to all our fantastic volunteers and art, civic and educational partners, for supporting make this float and current it to a diverse community.
