We are creating an Art Float for Social Alter at Tam Makers, to inspire much more people today to participate in democracy. Our parade float will reach out to youth and people today of shade as a result of artwork, audio and technological innovation. We will existing this artwork exhibit on Earth Working day, Memorial Day and Fourth of July parades in Marin — and all through California this slide, to motivate men and women to vote in the next election.
Our exceptional artwork float celebrates mother earth with a carousel of waving palms, pulled by a big feathered serpent. Performers will notify stories of hope on a phase decorated with scenes of a better globe. Massive symptoms will invite people to speak up and vote! You can pitch ideas for social alter on the podium, or have them scroll on the news ticker.
This neighborhood art task is developed by a crew of college students and makers, led by Fabrice Florin and Geo Monley, co-founders of Tam Makers in Mill Valley. We are grateful to Tam High College for internet hosting this job and to all our fantastic volunteers and artwork, civic and academic associates, for encouraging build this float and existing it to a varied group.
We are developing this project in March and April 2018, on Thursday evenings from 4 to 9pm — or Saturday mornings from 10am to 1pm. If you would like to volunteer, you should e-mail us at float@tammakers.org.
