We are producing an Artwork Float for Social Change at Tam Makers, to inspire more folks to take part in democracy. Our parade float will get to out to youth and men and women of colour by art, songs and technology. We will existing this artwork clearly show on Earth Working day, Memorial Working day and Fourth of July parades in Marin — and in the course of California this tumble, to really encourage people to vote in the future election.
Our exceptional art float celebrates mom earth with a carousel of waving palms, pulled by a huge feathered serpent. Performers will explain to tales of hope on a phase adorned with scenes of a much better earth. Big signs will invite men and women to talk up and vote! You can pitch strategies for social alter on the podium, or have them scroll on the information ticker.
This neighborhood art task is designed by a staff of pupils and makers, led by Fabrice Florin and Geo Monley, co-founders of Tam Makers in Mill Valley. We are grateful to Tam Superior School for hosting this venture and to all our wonderful volunteers and art, civic and instructional companions, for serving to make this float and existing it to a varied neighborhood.
