Maker Art at Tam High

We are creating a general public makerspace in Tam High School’s point out-of-the-artwork woodshop, to make matters jointly and develop a community of makers, students and teachers in South Marin.

This 7 days, I discovered from Geo how to make a ‘mortise and tenon’ joint for the cell cart I am building in his ‘You Can Make It’ workshop. We will use this cart to showcase the Metropolis of the Potential that our middle faculty pupils are making alongside one another in our ‘maker art’ lessons.

Other workshop members are creating very good progress as properly, such as the attractive wooden table proven in this article. Geo also confirmed off some of the 3D objects his large faculty learners are producing for ‘Maker Field’, their animatronic city run with Arduino.

These jobs are great examples of what we could guidance with much more maker packages for adults and teenagers in our new makerspace at Tam High. Far more on this later.
