Experienced an exciting day yesterday. My nephew Christopher Schwarz, a woodworker who employs common hand applications (go to him at www.lostartpress.com if this passions you), is coming out with a new guide. Some of the illustrations are staying offered by artist Briony Morrow-Cribbs, who is recognized for her copperplate etchings. (check out her at www.brionymorrow-cribbs.com).
My daughter Jessamyn is building a quick video about the course of action that Briony works by using, and Jess invited me to tag along when she interviewed, photographed, and videotaped the method. Briony is not only a wonderful artist (illustrated 2 NYTimes bestsellers numerous exhibitions) but also a instructor. She was equipped to show us promptly and quickly all the steps she will take to make an etching. (A video clip on her web site shows the procedure of developing a hard floor etching, which is a bit different from the photographic course of action she used on this venture.) I took a lot of shots and even shot some movie, so all in all it was a joyful day.
