Tam Makers hosted an show at Marinovators 2017 — a totally free event that showcases youthful makers in Marin County. We offered some of the cool assignments our members produced in our makerspace: stylish packing containers, picket bowls, robotic arms, interactive artwork and devices.
This year’s showcased exhibit was a Time Machine established by our Maker Artwork course at the Lycée Français in Sausalito. Our 4th and 5th graders had been on hand all day to display this impressive after-college task, which combines art, engineering and storytelling — using Arduino, motors, lights and seems.
We also invited website visitors to make their personal Tam Makers badges with LEDs, laser slice designs, and shade markers. They made some ingenious badges, and wore them proudly at the display. Everyone appeared to delight in their encounter with Tam Makers: young children, moms and dads, makers and woodworkers all experienced a excellent time generating artwork collectively and mastering from each individual other.
It was a terrific way to celebrate art and science and persuade little ones to construct a improved entire world.
Marinovators took spot on Saturday, April 22, from 10am to 3pm, at the School of Marin in Kentfield. Our Tam Makers booth was in Room #245 in the new Tutorial Heart.
