Tam Makers hosted an show at Marinovators 2017 — a no cost party that showcases young makers in Marin County. We offered some of the amazing tasks our users established in our makerspace: stylish packing containers, picket bowls, robot arms, interactive artwork and gizmos.
This year’s showcased show was a Time Machine designed by our Maker Artwork course at the Lycée Français in Sausalito. Our 4th and 5th graders were being on hand all working day to display this modern just after-faculty venture, which brings together art, engineering and storytelling — utilizing Arduino, motors, lights and sounds.
We also invited site visitors to make their own Tam Makers badges with LEDs, laser cut shapes, and colour markers. They designed some ingenious badges, and wore them proudly at the clearly show. Everyone seemed to love their practical experience with Tam Makers: small children, moms and dads, makers and woodworkers all had a wonderful time creating artwork with each other and mastering from each and every other.
It was a excellent way to celebrate artwork and science and stimulate young children to create a better globe.
Marinovators took spot on Saturday, April 22, from 10am to 3pm, at the College of Marin in Kentfield. Our Tam Makers booth was in Room #245 in the new Academic Center.
