Crafted concerning 1084 and 1504, Worcester Cathedral represents every single style of English architecture from Norman to Perpendicular Gothic.
It is well-known for its Norman crypt, its distinctive chapter dwelling, its unconventional Transitional Gothic bays, its great woodwork and its “exquisite” central tower.
The crypt of the present-working day cathedral dates from the 10th century and the time of St Oswald, Bishop of Worcester.
Worcester Cathedral is blessed with one particular of the most pleasing areas of any English cathedral. The cathedral sits on level floor beside the River Severn, and found from the river the element is of timeless serenity.
