Tam Makers hosted an exhibit at Marinovators 2017 — a cost-free event that showcases younger makers in Marin County. We presented some of the great tasks our users made in our makerspace: elegant boxes, wood bowls, robot arms, interactive art and devices.
This year’s showcased exhibit was a Time Device developed by our Maker Art class at the Lycée Français in Sausalito. Our 4th and 5th graders have been on hand all day to show this modern right after-college undertaking, which brings together artwork, technological know-how and storytelling — utilizing Arduino, motors, lights and appears.
We also invited visitors to make their very own Tam Makers badges with LEDs, laser slash shapes, and color markers. They established some ingenious badges, and wore them proudly at the present. Anyone appeared to take pleasure in their expertise with Tam Makers: small children, parents, makers and woodworkers all experienced a superb time creating art collectively and discovering from every other.
It was a excellent way to celebrate art and science and stimulate children to build a far better environment.
Marinovators took location on Saturday, April 22, from 10am to 3pm, at the College or university of Marin in Kentfield. Our Tam Makers booth was in Room #245 in the new Educational Middle.
