Miller & Richard had been a globe renowned Edinburgh variety foundry. The company equipped type to print firms all in excess of the globe. The company was established by William Miller, who had educated at Alexander Wilson’s foundry in Glasgow. In 1809 he began functions out of Reikies Courtroom, just off Nicolson Road.
