Gwoździec Re!construction
In 2011, the Affiliation of the Jewish Historic Institute of Poland collectively with the Museum of the Record of Polish Jews and Handshouse Studio initiated a one of a kind fingers-on academic task: the reconstruction of the timber roof construction and polychrome picket ceiling of the lost 17th-century wooden synagogue of Gwoździec The Gwoździec Re!construction undertaking bundled design, painting, and instructional workshops in eight Polish cities exactly where learners labored shoulder-to-shoulder with an intercontinental team of historians, architects, artisans, and artists specializing in classic woodwork and polychrome portray. They established just one of the centerpieces in the Main Exhibition. In 2011 during the workshop in Sanok, members reconstructed the timber-framed roof. During two a long time, 2011-2012, in 7 cities – Rzeszów, Kraków, Wrocław, Gdansk, Sejny, Kazimierz Dolny, Szczebrzeszyn they finished painted vault. The workshops took area within the synagogue in every city.
