MTA Arts for Transit’s most recent venture in Brooklyn is at the landmarked station property at Avenue H on the Q Line in Midwood. To rejoice this uniquely charming web page, artist Ed Kopel animates the exterior of the setting up with his new piece, Brooklyn Bucolic, reworking an unused colonnade into an active local community porch.

The artwork, together the north and east facades of the Station Dwelling, is made up of informal groupings of cast bronze rocking chairs, anchored in location. Just about every has a unique patina to make them more inviting and acceptable to this historic porch environment. Fabricated by JP Parnas Woodworking and Polich Tallix, the chairs range in size accommodating a wide range of customers. Each and every chair is subtly various with a wide variety of weaves, hues and patterns.
