The William Westerfeld Home sits throughout the road from the northwest corner of Alamo Sq. at 1198 Fulton Street (at Scott St.) in San Francisco. Produced in 1889 at a cost of $9,985, the property is shown on the National Sign-up of Historic Locations and is San Francisco Landmark Amount 135.

William Westerfeld, a German-born confectioner, arrived in San Francisco in the 1870s. By the 1880s he experienced set up a chain of bakeries. In 1889 He employed builder Henry Geilfuss to design for his spouse and children of 6 a 28-room mansion with an adjoining rose backyard and carriage property.
