Our middle-college college students at Tam High are developing a Town of the Long term with each other, applying arts and electronics to make a product of what our world may perhaps be like in 100 many years.
In our sixth course, pupils worked in groups to make community spaces for their town: underwater mines, segregated neighborhoods, surface rubbles and gated skyscrapers for the abundant. This week’s creations bundled a new metropolis signal, a lot more ladders, additional mine employees, and tall, skinny towers scraping the crimson sky.
They also agreed on a final name for their city: 15A, named following its sector coordinates. In their post-apocalyptic metropolis of the long run, the abundant are separated from the inadequate, who mine the sea flooring and are oppressed by a authorities run by devices.
I am educating this immediately after-faculty class with Geo Monley and Cynthia Gilbert, and we are pleased to see our students so engaged in this job.
