Restoration of two Hull & Barnsley Railway teak-bodied coaches is staying carried out in conjunction with Hull College or university at various web sites throughout the City. Mentor No. 58 was constructed by Birmingham Railway Carriage & Wagon Co Ltd (BRCW) and is a 56ft bogie vehicle for express targeted traffic even though Mentor No.1 of 1868 is a four-wheel brake 3rd and the earliest H&BR coach to survive. It was marketed to the Taff Vale railway, absorbed by the GWR and formed element of a residence in Wales until finally rescued in the 1990s.
