The former Cincinnati Northern Railroad depot was developed in 1906. Located in West Alexandria, the depot is steady in structure to most small city combination passenger/freight depots of the area and era- featureing vertical siding at the decrease amount of the constructing and horizontal siding on the upper segment, separated by trim function. The roof is distinguished by projecting eaves and cornices, offset by straight and diagonal braces. The corners have double bracketed stickwork The gable end has attractive sawtooth pattern woodwork and at its peak there is a hanging pendant supported by straight brackets.
A door to the to the waiting around space and ticket space is on the entrance of the creating. There are 3 home windows for the waiting home and business locations. Toward the rear is a freight space with freight door for off-loading to or from the depot.
The Cincinnati Northern Railroad was obtained by the Cleveland, Cincinnati, Chicago and St. Louis Railway in 1901 and the New York Central Railroad quite a few several years later on. Penn Central Railroad later operated the line. The line was abandoned and the tracks ended up eradicated. The depot was restored in 2006.
