okay so i took this class seeking to make some furniture. but it turns out that the to start with woodworking class only has 1 project… for the whole semester. and this is it, a box. it essentially came out rather properly and teaches you how to use all the devices. the sides are purple oak and the joints are also held jointly with black walnut pegs. the lid is birdseye maple which is a incredibly interesting patterned wooden albeit a tad high-priced. my coin assortment now resides in this box as it outgrew the previous box i experienced it in. upcoming semester : home furnishings
