Fir slab table

Fir slab table

Butterflies keep the two parts 1/2″ apart. All operate on this piece was performed with hand applications, other than a few cuts with the table observed for the legs. The slab was cupped poorly immediately after drying in our Canmore climate, and as a substitute of planing it flat, I ripped it size clever, planed the two parts independently, then reattached them with the walnut butterflies.
