Australian lace wooden, built by the late Patrick Alt (1950- 2013), a excellent woodworker and mammoth plate (20×24) photographer. I feel Patrick shipped this to me in 1999 it has been in use at any time considering the fact that. The two most made use of lenses are this just one, the Computar f/9 210mm, and the Nikkor f/9 300 M.

In 2003. he explained it on a forum: ” I created sections for 26 4 X 10 cameras. I also designed 5 8 X 10s, which have all been offered. The digicam is designed from Australian lacewood and African wenge fabricated from 48 individual parts of wood. The finish is 10-12 coats of hand rubbed furniture lacquer, the best complete on any digicam at any time created. It weighs 4 kilos and will acquire 90mm to 300mm lenses (360mm with an accessory lens box extension). It has front tilt and front increase with a side mounted tripod mount for vertical images. It has a bellows, leather-based tackle, with black metal fittings with brass knobs and screws. I made this to be a single of the most bodily beautiful cameras ever created with the extra element of intense rigidity and relieve of use… The digital camera was reviewed in See Camera Journal [Sep/Oct 1997] which has a image. On the other hand, this was from the 1st prototype. The ultimate version was entirely re-engineered in black with vastly enhanced actions.”

There was also a comprehensive evaluation in the April, 1998, concern of PANORAMA, The Magazine of Panoramic Imaging.
