The Crossroads job is a an initiative to establish an ecologically sustainable community, with excellent services for medieval activities.
Our intention is to construct a medieval village on our assets at Yass, New South Wales, Australia. We desire to foster classic crafts and techniques, establish partnerships with a variety of countrywide organisations for pre-industrial crafts, for instance in woodwork, pottery, blacksmithing and embroidery.
The actual physical website of Crossroads is 453 acres of land, and the system is to create the site to have Visitor cabins to accommodate 60 people, a kitchen area/dining corridor, and affiliated features, a reproduction of the little French medieval castle, Chalencon, and its associated village, a residential subdivision with a medieval theme and a centre for Heritage Crafts.
The web-site is by now being employed consistently by medievalists for fairs, festivals and routines these as archery as effectively as weddings and parties, and is offered for hire by the community.
