The Northwest School of Wooden Boatbuilding www.nwboatschool.org hosted the first SCAMP Camp (sm) in Port Townsend WA at the Northwest Maritime Heart August 6th – 17th, 2012.
The training course was taught by New Zealand designer John Welsford (remaining, in picture higher than), assisted by smaller boat adventurer Howard Rice, and supported by shipwrights Scott Jones (correct, in picture above) and Jason Bledsoe of the Maritime Middle.
New Zealand designer John Welsford developed SCAMP for Little Craft Advisor Journal, as a result it is title – Small Craft Advisor Journal Job – SCAMP.
John designed the 11-foot 11-inch boat to be conveniently trailerable. It has a lug rig and drinking water ballast. It can be constructed from strategies or from the package, witnessed right here, slash by Turnpoint Patterns in Port Townsend WA.
