I intended these units final semester and produced them in January. This was my initial time developing a piece of furniture heading by the whole spectrum of a manufacturing route. Very first we were specified a layout goal, this was adopted by original sketches, marketplace research, preliminary drawings, and then the functioning drawings.
The units are intended to pair with each other so a Television could span throughout the two units. The still left unit has two drawers and is made from 1” thick baltic birch plywood, the proper device is good maple. Each models are constructed of mitre joints on all sides. The mitre joints ended up reinforced with biscuits to deal with the alignment and deliver added help. The edge of the drawer faces and the mating surfaces ended up edge taped to conceal the plywood edges. It was my 1st time edge taping, biscuit joining, and hanging drawers, I uncovered a lot on this challenge. The two items were concluded with lacquer.
