Our following-school college students at Tam Large are setting up a City of the Upcoming together, using arts and electronics to make a product of what our entire world may perhaps be like in 100 several years.
In our 2nd class, they developed the town they envision for this venture and took turns talking about their ideas with just about every other. In their publish-apocalyptic scenario, the abundant are separated from the bad, who mine the sea floor and are oppressed by a governing administration run by machines.
They also picked people and objects for their metropolis — some of which will be laser cut and printed in 3D. Following, they discovered to solder stick figures out of copper wire, then built light circuits with LEDs and batteries. Last but not least, they extra these lights to their futuristic homes, which they ongoing to decorate with gift wrapping paper, artwork materials and day to day objects.
We have a good team of eight center college college students, ages 12 to 14, in this just after-faculty course.
