I am not 100% confident, but I believe that this is a Ragdoll cat.
This is one particular of 3 (?) lovely cats belonging to Keith Logan and his wife, Sandy, found when a significant group of us spent the morning of 7 July 2019 at their home and home. They stay NW of Cochrane on a 35-acre parcel of land. The substantial group split in half and took turns to seem at Keith’s gorgeous images and outstanding woodwork and also to bio/blitz their land, to document all flora and fauna seen. We were treated to espresso and scrumptious cake in Keith’s great woodworking barn. We all concur – if you sit in a single of Keith’s wooden chairs, you can expect to see that no chair could ever be much more comfy – they are only astounding!

Some people today observed a amount of birds, though they were being pretty much all pretty distant sightings. I think the closest had been a pair of Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers, feeding youthful that were in a tree cavity. I did regulate to get a shot of a Rose-breasted Grosbeak, far too.
On a visit like this, I am always torn involving hunting for birds, wildflowers, or fungi. This day was a mix of all 3 – the form of day I adore. Truly, we have been shocked that there were being not numerous wildflowers to be observed. Not guaranteed if this signifies we are a bit late for them. Our weather has been absolutely crazy considering that New 12 months, so who understands what is early and what is late. I was satisfied to see the odd fungus here and there in the Aspen forest.
All morning, we had been adopted all around the backyard by the Logan’s two great puppies – two gorgeous, friendly Newfoundland canine, named Sally and Blueberry (?). What stunning pet dogs these are! I feel food items will have to be on their thoughts all the time. Every time someone would sit and try to eat their lunch, both one particular or the two canine would arrive above and stand or sit and appear longingly at what was staying eaten. These kinds of sweet pet dogs.
I love to see their cats, also. On previous visits, there had been 3 cats, but I don’t know if they only have two now. What a stunning area they are lucky more than enough to simply call ‘home’.
After lunch, we drove a small distance to a different place, URSA, which stands for Common Rehabilitation Support Company. Prior to non-income URSA received the spot, it utilised to belong to W.O.Mitchell, who utilized it as a retreat. We have been introduced to Ben, who lives in W.O. Mitchell’s gorgeous old cabin. Ben’s enthusiasm is developing astounding steel sculptures and numerous of his is effective are scattered on the land all-around the cabin.
