The author took their fourth test out of seven in the morning, then decided to run errands instead of returning to work. They were searching for materials to build a kayak and a roof rack for their car. The author spent four hours at various woodworking stores looking for specific tools and pieces before eventually discovering clear pine 1×4’s at a local lumber yard, which they ordered with free shipping. The pine was a cheaper and heavier option than their original choice of 16′ clear western cedar. They also had the opportunity to hang out with a friend after work and discuss home renovation work. The author concluded their day by preparing for Holden’s birthday party.
