Significance: The residence has a range of Italianate elements, such as a projecting bay, roof accented with large brackets, and bracketed porch roof, doorways and home windows. The wood-body building, now included with cement-asbestos shingles, steps roughly 28′ x 45′ with projecting bays. Projecting porches ended up taken off from the next and 3rd flooring on the west facet. There are various inside characteristics of notice, including the woodwork on the stairway door, window, and cupboard components a mild fixture in the living place doorway and window trim and beveled glass in the east bay window. On the 2nd ground, there are decorative hinges, hardware and doorknobs, as well as unique toilet light-weight fixtures. Ornamental hinges and doorway hardware are also identified on the third ground. The property was designed in the early 1870s by John Waggoner, a carpenter who had lived in Oskaloosa due to the fact 1851, who lived here with his wife.
